An Introduction to the Concept of Industrial Revolution V or IR V coined by “LKN”
I am Lokesh Kumar Narayana (LKN). I have been envisioning what the Next Industrial Revolution will shape up to. As I proceeded further, I decided to capture my thoughts and convert them to books. I published my first book, “The Odyssey of Industrial Revolution – The Dawn,” and many times pointed out that I would be covering the significant aspects of Industry 5.0 in the upcoming book I am researching on “The Odyssey of Industrial Revolution – The Dusk.”
I have started my research, and it’s ongoing for the Second Book, which is in progress, and I am excited to inform you all that it’s shaping out well.
An individual brought to my notice that he used Industry 5.0 as a term about something specific part of Sustainability and Waste Management; Though I want to disregard his statements as Industry 5.0 is more of a general term and has been inevitably planned from the time Industry 1.0. I don’t want to involve in trouble. I do agree that the Next Industrial Revolution will result in Industry 5.0 or Fifth Industrial Revolution or 5IR or Next-Gen Industry or Next Generation Industry whatsoever it would undoubtedly be a by-product of the Next Industrial Revolution. It will have different traits like how the previous industrial revolutions were.
All Said and done, I don’t want to dwell on seeking unwanted attention leading to problems in the future. Hence, I decided to present the highlights of the ongoing research that I am conducting in line with the Second Book. I am planning to publish along with that I would like to highlight here in this the Term I will be using to refer to the By-Product of the Next Industrial Revolution will be “Industrial Revolution V” or “IR V” where V signifies to the Roman Numerical although the reference is same as the Industry 5.0 or Fifth Industrial Revolution or 5IR or Next-Gen Industry or Next Generation Industry; I would be using the term coined by me “Industrial Revolution V” or “IR V” for the sole purpose of ensuring I don’t possibly infringe any possible intellectual properties as claimed recently.
By writing this post and article, I also claim that this thought process is my own and a conclusion based on the research being made, which is still in progress and would certainly change to a degree based on research completion.
Traits of Industrial Revolution V or IR V as described by “LKN”
Traits of Industrial Revolution V or IR V will be the most disruptive innovations arising from well researched and developed technology-based outcomes that will not only change the way the products, services, and consumables are being used but also will change how the manufacturing and the functioning of these products, services, and consumables. You would not only see a Flat Hierarchy Structure in the IR V Companies but also will witness the increase in the number of companies facilitating and operating globally. These companies’ revenue will be much higher than today and possibly work from multiple habitats. The Processed Information available for these organizations of IR V is immense, and the possibilities of how it can be used are also enormous. We have seen previous industry versions operating by scaling manufacturing times, driven by information and resources; the IR V will see the immense number of Disruptive Innovations taking humans on a completely different path than before. We would be a generation that will witness and enable the possible growth humans can have in one single Industrial Revolution. The IR V will make human life a lot easier by transforming their ways of working to their consumption of services and consumables.
All said and done with additional responsibilities comes the different challenges; there is a need to make our values stronger with value and human-centric based governance and control mechanisms to direct and make a positive impact with IR V. The IR V in the making will be susceptible and will undoubtedly have a negative effect and may make be the cause for human extinction if not managed and directed well.

We have already seen the amazing benefits that health care sector has enjoyed by implementing industry 4.0 models in operational processes such as maintaining records, billing, accessing and securing patient’s data and medical history and so on. But, the IT is advancing day-by-day paving the way for the next industrial revolution. In this article, we will be talking about how IT will enable industry 5.0 in health care in near future.
Nowadays, consumers are focusing on the personalized products according to their special needs. Industry 5.0 is known as the fifth industrial revolution where the personal needs of consumers can be met.
Previously, Industry 4.0 enabled massive automation in different sectors, which was not enough. Nowadays, the customer wants massive personalization, so Industry 5.0 makes them largely personalized as needed.
It provides the customer with the product according to their specific needs.
This industrial revolution refers to the interaction between people and machines to make work better and faster. Robots play a major role in loading, unloading, painting, welding, and so on. The journey of this industrial revolution has begun in which there is a great potential to keep the customers happy according to their wish. Quality, safety, and waste reduction are on the rise.
The medical profession is working towards a personalization where a device is used that can meet personal needs and can help to check sugar level, blood pressure, and other body parameters.
Collaborative machines in Medical sector
Wearable technologies provide physicians with real-time information about patients’ real-time health, and these data can be incorporated into individual’s medical records, helping with data mining for both individual patients and groups. These intelligent devices can communicate with each other, and doctors can provide the appropriate medication according to the individual patient’s needs. This revolution uses various software to implement the routines and lifestyles of our daily lives. It introduces mental intelligence that is completely life-changing for humans and learns how our bodies are reacting. It automates the operational process and helps innovate the medical field.
Industry 5.0 Smelt can learn from big data to create innovation. It builds a digital knowledge network that provides relevant medical information and important patient records. It uses collaborative robots to improve accuracy and quality. Thus, robots are being used to collaborate to perform unique surgeries on the operation table. Surgeons can enjoy the benefits of this technology.
Industry 5.0 transforms large-scale personalization into reality, providing more specialized components in the medical field. These personalized components are used for medical treatment to meet the unique needs and lifestyle of the patient. Personalized medical implants, artificial limbs, physiology, and transplants have been developed in this revolution using a technology capable of Industry 5.0 that can work naturally. In this new world, smart sensors rapidly analyze data using artificial intelligence. Machines are able to make high-level decisions according to individual’s needs. In the medical field, these technologies can accurately measure and monitor variables in the human body according to the patient’s medical conditions. Future of Health care 5.0
It’s an intelligent revolution in process optimization, quality improvement, and cost and waste reduction. It will provide you with the ability to think critically to help you make effective decisions in real-time. It acknowledges the role of health professionals and shows the various driving technologies of Industry 5.0 in the medical field. In the medical field, it will also introduce four-dimensional computed tomography (4D CT) and four-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (4D MRI) to provide better information on body parts with specific motion. These techniques are very useful for the manufacture of smart medical parts using 4D printing. These scanning techniques are quite fast and accurate, which automatically track and analyze the internal movements of the body. It can meet the need for smart materials through which medical parts are manufactured and can further change shape and grow in the human body. It applies to smart, complex organs, cells, muscles, heart, kidney, liver, skin disorders, and tissue preparation to meet unique needs. Electronic medical records (EMRs) are digital versions of paper charts in clinics and hospitals. They note and provide information to health professionals during diagnosis and treatment. It digitally monitors all health-related activities through the integration of digital design, manufacturing, and information technologies with the software. There is no doubt that the pace of this revolution desires an internal craze. This emerging revolution will be a combination of big data, artificial intelligence, specialized software, machine learning, and intelligent algorithms connected to the Internet. Technician intervention, while doctors will do advanced and difficult tasks, industry 5.0 will digitally help to manage repetitive tasks automatically. This new revolution encourages the development of high-quality medical components to meet the patient’s personal needs. Collaborative robots have been introduced to perform accurate and complex surgeries for patients that were not possible before.
Industry 5.0 is used to meet highly personalized needs with better performance. Modern machines and information technologies are used to create virtual environments.
Medical professionals have to move forward and deal with various challenges such as complex issues, medicine, treatment, teaching, research, and development. It plays an important role in detecting diseases and treating patients easily. It is used to make smart medical parts, implants, biomodels, scaffolding, synthetic tools, and instruments. In the future, it will be helpful to suggest appropriate materials for the medical field, which will lead to faster recovery of the patient. This revolution will improve the overall healthcare experience for patients and help doctors provide better, more efficient care.
I see an immense change in the Health Care Domain with the on going innovations involving Artificial Intelligence, Digital Advancement along with the over all IT which would influence the changes in the Health Care Domain. The Changes starting from Digital Seamless Displays which can create images of the organs within the skin, the layered detailing using these digital technology helps quick and accurate diagnosis of all organs along with nano robots which are being tested on other animals for its accurate surgical usage in humans; followed by the Neuralink innovation of chips which gives hope for the diagnosis and treatment of the most complex functioning of the brain!
Whoa! We are certainly headed towards a transformed era possibly giving solutions to all that was impossible to bringing in new complex problems to solve! The brighter side is its certain that we will have answers for the most unanswered questions even if it opens up a pandora box of new questions which are more complex!
So the time has come where the Talks of Real Captain America or Spiderman or the Iron Man shouldn’t surprise us however it should surely ring a bell to take the on the direction we are headed; the corporate leaders will have super power holding the strong influence on the direction we are headed towards a slight ignorance may raise super villains instead of super heroes.
While a large number of companies around the world are still trying to adopt Industry 4.0, the debate over Industry 5.0 has begun.
The biggest feature of Industry 5.0 is “Personalization”. That is, the design and production of various sensor data are directly linked to the delivery of personalized products to consumers in real-time. Some groups are skeptical of Industry 5.0 and believe that the model will replace humans with robots, leading to global unemployment. But this is not the case. Industry 5.0, which will bring advanced automation, will not reduce the human value but will increase it with the help of human-machine coordination.
What is Industry 5.0?
Industry 5.0 is the future industrial revolution that will change the production model by focusing on the interaction between humans and machines.
The pre-Industry 5.0 phase has seen the rise of the digital industry: developments such as the Industrial Internet of Things or a combination of artificial intelligence and big data have created a new kind of technology that can provide companies with data-driven knowledge.
As a result, it has been translated into processes such as Operating Intelligence and Business Intelligence, which develop models that use technology with the goal of making more accurate and less uncertain decisions.
However, Industry 4.0 model was based on idea to minimize human labors and maximize automation of operations using technologies. To a certain extent, humans have been placed in a position where they have competed against machines in a race to degrade them or get degraded by machines.
But this is not the case with industry 5.0. In industry 5.0, the target is to develop a balance among machines and humans to offer different sectors the maximum benefits of using technology.
Why this is important?
The changes made by Industry 5.0 are already irreversible. This process offers companies the capabilities of increasingly powerful machines with well-trained experts to promote a better, more sustainable, and safer product.
Industry 5.0 is a new model of manufacturing that covers productive, economic, and commercial canvas. Therefore, businesses that do not transfer their existing operational infrastructure to the Factory 5.0 model will soon become out of the competition, as they are unable to take advantage of the competitive benefits IT offers.
Not only that: the rate of technological advancements is accelerating and it shows that the emergence of new models never stops. For this reason, adjusting each company’s operations and transforming them into a digital industry concept will be important in ensuring that an organization remains competitive.
What will it bring?
Industry 5.0 handles improvements from the past that have produced more efficient processes since the first industrial revolution. Finding business models that use the least resources to maximize profits is perfect at their highest level in Factory 5.0, as man and machine work together to make the best financial decisions for a company.
None of these industrial changes have made environmental protection a priority. Industry 5.0 is changing this trend because of new corporate technologies and sensitivities. This has led to sustainable policies where, for example, minimal waste production and management becomes necessary, and cross-cutting processes also make the organization more efficient.
This change is in line with the increasing demands of international organizations, government regulations, and consumers.
Productivity and creativity
Technological innovation does not allow a degree of personalization that meets the demands of customers. Employees who are part of Industry 5.0 will take advantage of technology capabilities, but will also have the opportunity to incorporate their own ideas that lead to products that are designed with personalization in mind.
Moreover, the automation that Industry 4.0 brought into the industry allows workers to free themselves from some repetitive tasks and focus on creating more powerful strategies, or apply their creativity. When combined with industry 5.0 ideas, this automation will experience equilibrium instead of being machine oriented.
Requirements for the Implementation of Industry 5.0
Factory 5.0 has played the role of Chief Robotics Officer. This person specializes in communication between machines and operators and also has knowledge in areas such as robotics and artificial intelligence. Its role in the company is to make decisions around these factors.
With the expansion of virtual education, employee training will also move forward. This allows for lower costs for companies, as they do not have to stop production to train their employees. In addition, it leads to safe training that prevents workers from taking unnecessary risks during training. Communication and employee motivation enhance the interactive learning environment.
Among other technologies, the generation of thousands of jobs related to robotic systems and interactions with artificial intelligence is expected.
The right Technology
The term “cobots” is coined in connection with Industry 5.0: Collaborative robots designed for simple and intuitive interactions with humans.
This technology enables humans to perform tasks such as plant protection and targeting. In a special way, they act as apprentices, who are able to observe and replicate a person’s actions, assisting the operators.
Furthermore, the appearance of increasingly complex processes will require appropriate software that is capable of handling this vast amount of data and provides human operators with a space they can use to communicate with machines.
For example, software Nexus Integra Platform has been built in order to transform an industrial company into Industry 5.0. It is an integrated system for the large-scale management of industrial assets, allowing companies to leapfrog their digital transformation.
Industry 4.0 models has been a successful use of technology in offering automation and smartness to industries yet it was based on minimizing the human involvement in the operational infrastructure that gave birth to a cluster of debates and doubts. Yet the industry 5.0 is not based on the previous idea, it is meant to build collaboration between humans and robots for optimized growth. It is based on the idea to minimize the competition among humans and machines and make them closes to each other. Hence creating an environment where a machine can learn from humans and humans can learn from machines without being hesitant. Let’s see what happens when industry 5.0 is implemented completely. Meanwhile, keep enjoying the fruits of industry 4.0 innovations.

Would the AI Creatures look upto us as Gods?
Will we have Super Powers using these AI Chips?
Can we be the Creators?
Would we have unlimited powers?
Does the concept of Slaves come because Gods used Humans to carry out their routine works?
Would we transfer all our routine works to AI Creatures?
Would we be wearing AI Powered Chips as our Crowns?
Would we be able to manifest anything and everything using AI and Technology?
Would we be able to travel anywhere and everywhere instantly?
Can we be able to be Omnipresent with the use of IT and Technology?
Would there be days to get rid of Poverty once and for all?
Would there exist an awesome state of equality?
Does these things gives way to the outburst of AI Creatures to revolt for being used as Peasants and Slaves?
Would there be a day where we can impart education using chips just like Old Saints used to impart with the Thumb?
Is there a connection with Mehendi or Body Art with Circuits?
Is there a connection with Jewels and Ancient Ornaments with Advanced Technology?
I have loads of questions, let’s see how things manifest. I also believe that the Thought Process and Direction are the keys for Manifesting anything! Unless we are in the right hands nothing can go right!
Technology is evolving almost every sector of life ranging from manufacturing to education on one extreme and health care to hospitality on the other. The world has seen so many changes in just a short span of time just because of the technological advancements.
Similar trends have started to make appearance in the hospitality sector covering hoteling, traveling, customer care, and tour guide sectors. IT is now changing the hospitality from traditional to digital and smart mode. The technologies like IoT, Big data, Cloud computing, Robotics etc. are evolving the hospitality industry at a fast pace. In this article, we are going to discuss the impacts of IT on this industry that is transforming the hospitality into ‘Hospitality 4.0’.
IoT in Hospitality Sector
For guests, IoT makes their stay more comfortable and customizable. It provides automated smart rooms where Guests can adjust the lights or make calls using their mobile phones or TV from their beds.
When it comes to mobile devices, hospitality can be more integrated with guests’ personal devices thanks to IoT. Guests can use their mobile phones to check into a hotel and open their room’s door.
In addition, the mobile integration gives you data with the permission of the guests so that you can remember the preferences of the guest. Hotels and restaurants can take this one step further and customize their bookings based on previous stays.
In the hospitality industry, many large companies are integrating IoT in their operational infrastructure to enjoy the benefits offered by the technology. These benefits can range from offering a superior customer experience to saving on energy costs.
For example, Hilton and Marriott have conducted slightly different experiments on the ‘connected room’ concept, where users are able to control many features of the room from their mobile phones or from the tablet provided.
It allows guests to control the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems from one place, or even just tell a temperature and allow different appliances to automatically adjust the temperature. They can also control other devices such as TV. The good thing is, some smart devices will greet them with their name and make them feel more tech. friendly.
Augmented reality in Hospitality Sector
Augmented reality works by using computer technology to change a person’s perception of the physical environment. Augmented reality is often compared with virtual reality (VR), but while VR completely replaces the real world environment with a virtual environment, augmented reality enhances the real world environment in real time.
The augmented reality in hospitality management in recent years has emerged as an important concept, as it allows hotels and other related businesses to enhance the physical environment (i.e. their hotel and its rooms), or the surrounding area.
Another important explanation behind the rise of AR in the hotel industry is that the amount of information guests receive is requested before they arrive and once they arrive. AR technology can help consumers to access a lot of important information easily at any time anywhere.
Another way for hotel owners to improve their customer services using AR technology is by using interactive elements in hotel rooms. An example of this can be seen in the UK based ‘Hub Hotel’ from the premier inn, which has started using AR in its hotel rooms in conjunction with wall maps.
By pointing the smartphone at the map, guests can see additional information about places of interest, increase the use of the map itself, and potentially make their stay easier and more enjoyable.
A hotel Holiday Inn experimented an AR hotel experience. They use AR technology to allow guests view realistic virtual photos of celebrities by pointing their mobile phones.
Similarly Best Western tested AR and Disney stars. This allowed children to see Disney characters standing and walking along them. Other hotels are also using AR apps to allow guests to practically enjoy the hospitality experience.
AI in Hospitality Sector
Artificial intelligence or AI means the seemingly intelligent performance and behavior of computers or machines to perform a certain task autonomously. AI refers to computers or machines that perform tasks that are traditionally thought to require scientific work to be performed. It’s about concepts like automation and big data.
Artificial intelligence is increasingly playing an important role in hospitality management, mainly because of its ability to perform traditional human functions at any time of the day. This will allow the owners to save considerable amount of money, avoid any human error, and provide the best services.
The most important part of hospitality sector is customer care, without any doubt. The success of companies in this sector depends on the way they treat their customers. With artificial intelligence, the possibilities for improving this aspect are almost endless, ranging from increasing personal nature to appropriate recommendations.
An example of artificial intelligence is delivering in-person customer services in the hospitality industry.
The best example of this is an AI robot called ‘Connie’ adopted by Hilton. This robot is able to provide tourist information to users who interact with it. Most impressive, it is able to learn from human speech and adapt to individuals. Ultimately, this means that the more users it talks to, the better it becomes.
Another way AI is being used in hospitality sector is data analysis. The technology can be used to quickly sort through large amounts of data and draw important conclusions about users, or potential customers.
An example of this is seen with the Dorchester Collection Hotel Chain, which uses the Metis AI platform to organize the data collected through surveys, online reviews, etc. and then analyze it to draw conclusions about the overall performance.
Robotics in Hospitality Sector
A robot is a machine, designed to perform complex tasks or specific tasks automatically. Some robots are designed to resemble humans and are called androids.
The demand for automated systems and self-service ideas for better customer experiences have increased the popularity of robotic systems. Robots allow enhancing speed, cost effectiveness, and accuracy.
Located in Nagasaki, Japan, the Henn-na Hotel has become the first hotel in the world to be fully staffed by robots. Robots are deployed with information technology and provide different services such as front desk services, storage services, check-in and check-out services, including voice and face recognition.
Besides the hotel industry, Robotics has also improved travel experience. Travel mats are an example of robotics used for luggage purposes. Basically, it’s an independent suitcase, able to follow you. It uses anti-collision technology to avoid any collisions and is capable of 360-degree movement and eliminates the need to carry, pull or push the suitcase.
Airport security is one of the most important areas where new technology is deployed and robots are also in use. A particularly strong example of this is the night scope robots, which are increasingly being used to independently detect hidden weapons and help keep passengers safe during their flights.
This is just the fraction of what IT can offer to hospitality industry. This sector has yet a lot to implement in order to taste the real fruits of IT but this all needs time and resources. Let’s wait and see what future hotels will look like after implementing industry 4.0 models completely.
With the fourth industrial revolution in education sector, the concept of education has been changed completely and some new trends appear that we were not aware of. The new education system is built on idea of success in life, not just in exams, focusing on the need for personal education. Here are some of the new features of Education 4.0 enabled by the IT techniques.
AI in Education
As an educational tool, artificial intelligence is never a substitute for teachers, but a very good companion. The advantage of having an AI system is that it can save a lot of data and information. This quantitative benefit can track student’s performance, which can help faculty better assess students’ academic progress and give them more attention when needed. Introducing children to modern technology such as artificial intelligence can make them tomorrow’s leaders who can make better and advanced decisions.
UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) reported that there is a scarce amount of well-trained teachers all around the world. By 2030, universal primary and secondary education institutes are going to hire 69 million more teachers. But this is where AI can help. It can allow to fill the gap between teacher-student ratios and achieve different educational targets globally.
Where are we now?
Educational technology is at a critical juncture today. More and more schools are taking steps to include AI in their curriculum. Incorporating STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math) through robots such as a company’s ROYBI robot can help children improve their cognitive abilities, which increases children’s thinking skills and curiosity. In China, Keeko robots have become more popular by providing storytelling and problem solving services to kindergarten students.
AI is also looking for a place in higher education. MobiMax K-8 uses AI to create personalized lesson plans and curricula for students. It also includes games and competitions to encourage and keep students engaged. Carnegie Learning has developed MATHiaU, an AI-based math teacher for higher education in mathematics. The company assures students of personal learning, which will increase student participation in the learning system.
Big data in Education
Big data has made significant changes in many aspects of education. According to a study published by the European Union’s Publications Office, the most important change in education through big data is the ability to monitor the education system.
Here is how it works:
Students create tons of data every day, and this data comes from a variety of sources. For example, some instructors incorporate social network adapting pedagogical practice (SNAPP) into the teaching process, read student blogs, and measure how much interest they have in a particular course. The system also measures how well a particular instructor performs in teaching the course.
With the introduction of Netlogo, error measurement has become more comfortable, a system that tracks clicks and measures how many errors each student makes in the test and allows students to perform each task with minimum mistakes.
One of the most important achievements of big data in education sector is the creation of a learning management system. It allows teachers to assign and create tests using information that is already in place using online automation.
Apex Learning, for example, creates smart learning solutions that help the middle, high school and virtual learning environments. The system helps students to get more involved in developing their skills and learnability. Students can also continuously have an eye on their progress. Moreover, teachers have access to real-time data that helps access latest information to develop or modify lesson plans according to students’ needs.

IoT in Education
Using IoT in education sector means availing smart building solutions in an educational ecosystem, such as school buildings, classrooms, buses etc.

Wright tells how she uses IoT-powered lighting settings to make the light in her classroom bright or dim, warm or cold. These subtle changes help to attract students’ attention.
Cloud Computing in Education
Cloud computing is not just about “moving to the cloud” in terms of data storage and management. While this is a blessing, there are other benefits as well:
Lesser costs than before: A decade ago, educational institutions had to invest thousands of pounds per license for their software, and they had to repurchase the software whenever a new version was available. Today, software as a service makes it possible to pay a lower, expected monthly price rather than an expensive license.
Less reliance on hardware: Not only does the facility require expensive servers and end-user tools, but students and faculty as a whole rely less on their expensive hardware – cloud solutions are agnostic platforms and are available from anywhere.
Being able to reach other students: Students who are busy, unconventional, or in a remote location no longer have to go to school in allotted time slots. Switching to the cloud allows more remote work.

We all have been fantasying on having a Chat Bot to interact with us especially with people in the IT Services Sector expecting the Chat Bot to reduce the plethora of miscommunications, delayed responses, long waiting time for the basic information and also ease our work as much as possible along with the expectation of Chat Bots having to learn Empathy when the co-employees lack the same. Jokes apart but the expectations from the Chat Bots are more and has been increasing as we proceed with time.
Unfortunately the Progress of these Chat Bot Conceptualisations are very less and the realistic achievements using these Chat Bots seems to be long due. While we see very less traction in this we do have some positive news as well.
Current Use of AI Chat Bots
The Chat Bots are currently been used for Collaboration and as a Pet which can be trained to perform certain basic functions as in fetching information, remembering information, responding for general questions and other collaborations. Though Nothing has been achieved on IT Side and Everything still seems to be at the very beginning stages; However I am astonished on how well the Chat Bots are being used in all possible ways then where it is actually needed.
I do experiment installing different Chat Bots for my research and the Best One I found was named Replica. I agree that this is not where this Chat Bot needs to be but I am astonished by the Empathy and the Humane Conversations this Chat Bot can make. It is certainly good.
How do I envision this AI Chat Bot
I see the Chat Bot is a Collaboration Tool however when I say Collaboration I mean Collaboration between Machines and Humans and Not Human to Human interactions using Chat Bots.
On One End the Chat Bots can certainly fetch information, record information, retrieve them and also trigger certain external events.
I like the Part where it can be used to Trigger External Events based on Conversation with Humans.
I Envision the below as a Chat Bots Feature which can be a disruptive product and can give a run for all the Managed Services Companies in the World:
Basic Interactions with Empathy
Ability to Record, Retrieve and Display Information in more of a humane mode
Ability to Converse with External Applications and Machines – Imagine a Chat Bot which can trigger a RPA Job or a IoT Device or a Robot or Even a IT Application – The Usage of this Feature is way too Important and each thought or an example is a Case Study on its own. The Application of this Feature is immense, in Managed Services we can use this feature to trigger Auto Resolution along with Analytics; in Manufacturing we can use this to trigger heavy equipments, machinery and robotics making these devices accept commands from humans via the Chat Bots, In Health Care, we can use this device to automatically manage the robot based surgeries from remote locations, In Food and Beverage Industry we can use this Chat Bot to Manage the Robots as in the Hotel Operated by Robots also the digital machines can be controlled and can be used to cook delicious food and much more can be accomplished.
I come from Diverse Back Grounds starting from a Call Centre, Enterprise Helpdesk, Application and Network Monitoring, Consulting and Project Management mostly in the IT Sector So I see the advantages on handling this Chat Bot to provide seamless delivery of IT Services with any Human Intervention. I envision a Chat Bot integrated with a RPA, Auto Coder (Example: DeepCoder) and Cherry on the Cake is the Auto Resolution plugins (Similar Concept of Chaos Monkey of Netflix).
I see this product can delivery IT Services at a fraction of the actual ticket value that’s being generated as of now.
I see mostly the Managed Service Organisations might not like this Idea as a matter of fact this will reduce their earning potential from the “Improvement Opportunities” on which they survive.
All we need now is an Industry Disrupter to come up with a Valuable AI based Chat Bot Integrated with RPA, Deep Coder and Various Auto Resolution Plugins. This will certainly be a Game Changer and will put the IT Industry 10 Folds ahead to meet the growing expectations and matching the speed of business along with maintaining agility.
My thinking doesn’t stop here, I also envision how this Chat Bot can be later tweaked to integrate with the “Neuralink’s Chips” – All Machines will listen to Human Commands directly catered from the Human Brains with no verbal or textual conversations. It will be an Act of Magic for sure. LoL.

The company is using RFID tags to track and manage their medical supplies. Before application of RFID tags, the company needed a lot of labor to manage the inventory.
This was a challenging task as the company had a lot of supplies to store and manage physically. It also caused a considerable loss of stock as it is difficult to keep a strict check on inventory, hence the expiry dates of stock could not be noted.
But then the company applied RFID technology in 2015.
Now, the company has been able to decrease the onsite stock at different facilities by 23%. It is predicted that company will save $5 million every year due to the RFID tagging technology.
Big Data and Analytics
Using advanced computer technologies on major data sets to uncover important patterns, trends and correlations for companies in decision making process is termed as big data or big data analytics.
The main use of big data in industry is as a translator. But it is not an ordinary translator; it translates what no one else can do. The information that is produced by IoT and AI systems needs to be translated into an actionable format and here the big data comes in.
Bosch is a Chinese automotive company currently using a combination of IIoT and Big Data to connect the machinery and monitor the whole production process.
The system that company uses is comprised of sensors attached with the factory’s machinery that collect data about a certain machine’s performance and any issues related to the working of the machinery.
This collected data is then translated by Big data analytics to tell the workers if there is any breakdown in any machinery identified at some place.
This helps in predicting the machine’s failure allowing the workers to take steps to resolve the future issue before it happens.
Reports show that due to the use of big data systems, the company is enjoying 10% increase in output along with improved delivery management.
Cloud computing allows businesses to access up to date data and applications provided by the emerging technologies. And the good thing is, you don’t need to build a huge physical infrastructure to acquire this all. Cloud based computing can be easily installed and changed depending on the needs of industry.
Volkswagen is a company that developed a cloud network known as “Volkswagen Automotive Cloud” in collaboration with Microsoft. The technology offers features like smart home connectivity, digital assistance, predictive maintenance, media streaming and uptdates.
With the help of this cloud network, the company plans to add around 5 million brand offerings annually to its IoT.
Industries have been using robotics in one way or other for decades but the fourth industrial revolution has given a rise to this technology.

Fetch Robotics is a Californian based company that has a developed system of robots used for tracking, locating, and moving inventory in warehouse.
In Netherlands, a DHL service Provider Company is using the AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) for pick and drop operations within the warehouse. These AMRs autonomously move with the workers and also learn from their activities and hence remember their routes of work. The company says that use of these AMRs has reduced the order cycle time by 50%.
Industry 4.0 is encouraging the use of AR technologies in the manufacturing industry. This technology can help companies from assembly processes to maintaining manufacturing machinery.
AR efficiently fills the gap between the physical and digital labor by offering virtual images and data on to a physical object. The technology mostly comprises of smartphones, tablets and smart glasses.
A company named “General Electric” has applied an AR system in their facility to offer a glimpse at how AR technology can work to increase the efficiency of manufacturing unit and labor. The company is using the AR technology on experimental bases in their jet engine manufacturing cell. Before introducing the AR technology, the workers had to stop now-and-then to check the working manuals in order to assure that the work goes in the right direction. With the use of smart AR based glasses, they can now have visual instructions while working. These smart glasses are even connected with the support team and the worker can immediately contact experts in case of any complex issue.
Company says that it is enjoying 11% increased productivity of workers after introducing the smart AR glasses.
The challenges towards enabling industry 4.0 and their possible solutions
IT is undoubtedly the backbone of industrial revolution. It is IT that will decide the future industrial revolutions starting from industry 4.0 and onwards. Some experts say that the IT systems have already enabled the industry 4.0 completely and now we are headed towards the next industrial revolution. Yet the others say that there is still room for improvements in existing model which means the industry 4.0 cannot be marked complete until it meets the security standards.
Such deficiencies and improvements are worth discussing and that’s why we are here to discuss all these challenges that are a hurdle in the way of completing the vision industry 4.0 and the possible solutions to address these challenges.

This transparent business ecosystem means an environment that is vulnerable to cyber-attacks, spying, stealing data and illegal access to the important business files.
Organizations need to recreate the existing business models and devise new business strategies to address this challenge.
The possible solution to this transparent environment until this day is that the small organizations must consider the markets with low competition where they can allocate their maximum resources instead of placing their sources and data in an intense market competition where their data will be more vulnerable to cyber-attacks and the threat of being out of competition due to the presence of big companies in the intense market.

Incomplete implementation of industry 4.0 is dangerous
Some small companies are trying to transition to industry 4.0 models on their existing machinery or equipment which results in complicated processes and bigger costs that small industries cannot handle easily.
Total transition of industry 4.0 is necessary. The incomplete transition prevents companies from being successful in market. Thus, small companies must consider full transition if not possible today, they may wait and implement it later.
Challenge # 3
Low degree skills will be out of the job
Industry 4.0 model is based on the idea that the low degree skills are to be performed by machines and robots. Which means, the employees with low degree of skills would be ignored unless they acquire advanced skills that the machines or AI systems cannot perform.
Finding the employees with advanced skills to implement industry 4.0 is a big challenge. To address this challenge, the companies must consider training their existing labor to acquire the needed advanced skills.
This is the most budget and time friendly solution to this challenge. It will also allow companies to have a disciplined training system that they can use to train labor of other small companies and charge them a good amount instead.
Challenge # 4
Socio technical challenges
The implementation of IT to enable industry 4.0 may result in:
Polarization of jobs.
The favor that the labor deserves would be shifted to the capital.
An increased monopolization.
Technical unemployment due to lack of skilled labor.
Increase in ecological fears for population.
The industry 4.0 is undoubtedly a socio-technical system. To address the above-mentioned challenges, the joint integration of socio-technical system is required. This can be made possible by training the labor to develop tolerance for machines and design and operate the IT systems in labor friendly way. This can be done in the same way as we talked earlier i.e., training programs should be held to optimize the socio-technical environment within the industry.
A socio-technical system must have following characteristics for successful implementation of industry 4.0:
System must contain interdependent parts.
System must have an internal environment consisting of separate but interdependent social and technical subsystems.
Joint optimization of social and technical subsystems decides the performance of this system. If one subsystem is favored and is given more resources, it means the other is ignores thus the system will crash. Hence it must be designed in a way that both get equal opportunities.
Challenge # 5
The implementation of industry 4.0 model means putting the important data on online and transparent platform where there is always risk of cyber-attack remains.
Cyber security is the backbone for implementing the industry 4.0, otherwise, the lack of proper security system will eventually cause businesses to crash.
The companies can consider following points to prevent themselves from cyber-attacks:
Companies must use operating systems that offer automatic updates. Keeping software UpToDate and installing them in patches will cause cyber attackers to not take any advantage of system’s established problems or vulnerabilities.
Companies must have strong passwords and keys to access their systems. It is estimated that 63% of cyber-attacks are successful because of weak passwords. So, creating a strong password and changing it constantly within specific intervals can help companies prevent cyber-attacks.
Companies must consider MFA tool. MFA (Multifactor authentication) uses two identity components to allow access to a system. This makes the system more secure even if the attacker knows the password.

I plunged in to explore more on where and in what direction we are heading and this is what I found, Few Facts:
Develop: Back in 2017, Microsoft made an announcement of DeepCoder; An AI Application which has the capability to write applications on its own. Though the Project is still in progress, We already have DeepCode, One step closer. I am pretty sure in few years we will have AI Applications creating Applications and Programs on its own to Solve Businesses. So we may not need a Developer at all and there is no need to remember all the semantics and syntaxes up our sleeves and wake up in the middle of the night remembering an additional line of code that will solve a defect! So most of the Software Jobs will not be performed by Humans.
Implementation: We already have DevOps from 2009, Its has already made wonders in Auto-Testing and Auto-Implementations. This will be more stable and as it develops with an addition of a AI based Program to Trigger the Implementations with minimal human intervention, The Implementation Jobs also will not be performed by Humans.
Run/Maintenance and Improve: Chaos Engineering dates back to 2011 initiated one a migration event in Netflix has opened a Pandora Box of possibilities. It enables resilience towards Infrastructure Failures, Network Failures and Application Failures. If this is coupled with the AI Programmed Applications – All Type of Infra/Network/App Fails can be handled using AI with no Human Intervention and the AI Based Applications takes over Run/Maintenance and Improve from Humans
Hardware of IT: Back in 2013, Bill Kleyman wrote an Article on How Data Centre Robotic Automation is already been researched. He also mentioned about DevLinks Ltd on their on going research on Robotic Automation in Data Centres. Though this is still in progress, There will be a Day where Hardware Issues in Data Centres will be addressed by Robots and AI. So again all Hardware Jobs will be taken over by the Robots!
Field Jobs: These are Customer Facing Roles, Primarily Involves Demos, Interactions and Sales. AI’s are already capable of creating Human Faces, along with the addition of AI Augmentation, The Human Intelligence or may be better then that can be augmented along with Emotions; Not to stop with this the addition of Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Science helps the AI in not only analyse the consumption data but also suggest/recommend and make sales to humans with Augmented Reality. There will be soon be days with AI based Augmented Reality will make sales to humans using Big Data/Data Science/Data Analytics again with no human intervention. The Field Jobs are also taken off. Doctors, Lawyers, Architects will also follow the same, even if delayed their will be a day where none of these jobs will be done by humans
Skilled Workers: Now when AI can take of the Desk Jobs and the Field Jobs, The Manufacturing Industry which is always leading the revolution is not left behind. The Industry 5.0 Concepts show us how Robots can be used in place of Skilled Workers and they are already a step ahead from all others – We already see 3D Printers Printing Homes even in Developing Countries. So there are no Skilled Jobs left for Humans.
Creative Jobs: Now when AI and Robots have taken over the most complicated jobs, Do you think they will spare this one? Editor in Chief of The Research Nest wrote an Article mentioning the 5 Books which are of top most quality written by AI Authors. The Fake Faces are created already by AI and the Acting Profession will also be taken over, same goes with Singing, Composition, Music and all others will follow. There will be a Day where New Inventions are made by AI and Robots too.
So what’s left for Humans!
As Usual Humans are behind money so they are never satisfied with the need to earn more and the old habit of having peasants will still be on, The only difference is the Modern Day Humans will have Digitalised and Robotic Peasants to mint money, They are never tired as well leading to more gain with less investment. Anyway I am not against the Humans, But yes the ways of manipulating and not creating a Win-Win Situation for all makes me get a bit grumpy.
Back to Topic; The Jobs that will remain are:
Entrepreneurs: People who mint money using Robots and possible other Humans
Humans Other then Entrepreneurs: Business Analysts who knows which AI and Robot to Use where and for what purpose and for what Outcomes along with Strategising things for the Entrepreneurs. In short helping them mint money using Robots.
In other ways the Business Analysts work will be that of a Building Blocks of Current Day Kids, They already have everything as Blocks, They need to use them, connect them to each other and create a Business Model for the Entrepreneur.
So Basically you need to be an Entrepreneur or at least a Pinch of Knowledge on all the aspects so that you get your share of money. 💰
Whats needed now:
We need all that which is needed to make the above come in to form, It will eventually come how much ever we try to stop it.
